For the last few days of my spring break we rented a house in Pacific City with my sister Rebecca and her family. The weather wasn't stellar but we had a good time anyway. Nolan enjoyed playing with his cousins Carter and Jacob and Quinn got in on the action whenever he could. We got one good walk in on the beach and some good playtime in the sand on Friday morning. Saturday was totally rainy so we took the boys to the Aquarium in Newport. Nolan's favorite thing was the sharks. He even got to pet a sand shark along with his cousin Carter. The leopard shark was his very favorite. We hit good old McDonald's on the way back to the beach house for a quick lunch and everyone was happy. We hope to get our two families together for more trips like this in the future!

Hooray for Joel!
We are very excited to announce that Joel received a promotion at work this past week. He is now the main hydrogeologist for the City of Portland. He has worked very hard for this step up and the boys and I are very proud of him!

Mr. 9 Months
It's hard to believe but on February 22nd, Quinn turned 9 months old. The time has been flying by lately and our cutie patootie is getting to be such a big boy, 21 lbs. 12 oz and 30 inches long at his 9 month check up. He is up to all sorts of new tricks lately, like pulling up on the furniture, crawling, and even starting to cruise a little. His two favorite and only words are Da Da and Ba Ba. He loves his big brother Nolan and Nolan is really starting to enjoy playing with Quinn. It's so sweet to see them interact! Just a few short months and we will have survived our first year with two kids. Whew!
